Confessions I

Dear readers,

we have a confession to make: we are secretly in charge of the household we live in. Please don't tell our parents because exposure of our behavior could get us in trouble. We are also not quite sure if they actually appreciate our "leadership," but we just couldn't remain inactive any longer. Without us, we are convinced, life would be very chaotic at home.

Let us give you a few examples:

A few weeks ago, our parents were arguing about where to go on vacation this year. It got really unbearable for us. Mom asked dad where he wanted to go. He responded he didn't want to think about it. Mom got upset and told dad that they could at least talk about possible options, like if they still wanted to visit their friend Andrea in New Zealand or if, perhaps, they should finally go to Asia. We thought we'd help them out by drawing their attention to possible destinations by jumping on their world map canvas in the living room. Since Hattori is much better at jumping high and long, we decided he should give it a try first: after all, he'd have to jump almost two meters from the back of the chair to the top of the canvas. He did great and landed on the same spot thrice and thus was hopefully able to make our suggestions heard. They are Spitsbergen, Greenland, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea and Libya. What's great about them is that they are quite exotic, while still not being too far from Austria. We understand that our parents have to take a vacation from time to time, but we don't want them to be gone for too long. Believe it or not, we really miss them when they're not home. Hanzō has even tried clinging to dad's legs in the morning to prevent him from going to work, but that's a different story.

When we need to clean up our parents' mess, it is Hanzō's turn. The other day, our parents had this smelly brown liquid they drink from minature cups, we've heard them call it espresso. The cups smelled so terrible, and it seems like they didn't even notice because they left them on the table and continued drinking them. So we decided to help out and get rid of the smell by covering up the cup. It was so frustrating for Hanzō because it didn't work, as you can see:

That's it for now. Hopefully, we'll be able to remember a few other examples of our leadership in this household, so you get a better sense of how much we're actually in charge here. It's time to take a nap now because otherwise we might not be able to get the 16 hours of sleep a day that we need ;).

Until next time,
your sleepy Samurai

You've Got Mail #2

December 17:

Dear Mom and Dad!

Last night was great! We slept on daddy's red flannel pants, which Omi found in your bedroom yesterday. We enjoyed it so much that we didn't even mind Omi coming over a bit later this morning. She told us that she saw Adamah's (an organic farm that delivers vegetable baskets) delivery truck. They make deliveries on Tuesdays in this district, it seems, and Omi thinks it's great because it is her day off. But what does Tuesday mean?

We're doing good overall. I just discovered how much fun it is to play with Omi's left foot. I have started attacking it just like Hattori does. Haha!

Now I have to continue eating because otherwise Hattori might eat my portion as well.

Omi and Hattori send their regards!
Kisses, Hanzō

December 18:

Dear Parents!

We'll admit it upfront: we were very rambunctuous today. Omi says she's already sent you photos in order for you to have some evidence. Later, we slept very peacefully, but when Omi wanted to leave for her choir christmas party, we played a game with her. When she opened the entrance door, we ran as quickly as we could and escaped into the building's hallway. It was so much fun, especially because we were able to trick her three times. She carried us back into the apartment every single time, and we always managed to escape again. We're so proud of how fast we are! The fourth attempt wasn't as successful because she dropped us off in the kitchen and closed the door. By the time we were able to run a full circle through the living room (kitchen and living room are connected and both have a door into the apartment's hallway), the entrance door was already closed. Bummer!

Omi came over again after her party though. We were so happy that we didn't even dare to riot. Hanzō enjoys fighting with Omi's legs much more than Hattori now, can you believe it?

Kisses,
your furry sons!

December 19:

Dear Mom and Dad!

I hope you're not mad, but I really enjoy cuddling with Omi. Today, she cuddled with us on our big fur, which was really nice! The rest of the day, I played with Hattori. Today, I even caught the feathers (of the feather toy). Hattori wasn't interested because he was already in cuddle-mode.

We also still enjoy escaping the apartment at any possible occasion. Omi always then carries us inside, but we're dying to find out what's behind the blue door (Note by cat mommy: it leads to the building's staircase)! Omi brough us funny slippers, with which we've already conducted the first tests if it is suitable as a toy. It ended up in the kitchen! Tomorrow, our other grandparents are coming over to deliver a new shower screen. We hope that they will also play with us!

Omi promised to show us Haiti and Jamaica on the map. Hopefully, you'll bring us toys from there! They also have cats there, right?

Kisses from both of us,
Hanzō

December 20:

Dear Mom and Dad!

We haven't watched TV in over a week! We suspect that Omi hasn't figured out how to turn the TV on. In any case, we already miss it a little bit.

In the afternoon, Omi and Opa from Traisen came over, but we are a little bit dissatisfied because they only briefly pet us and didn't play with us!

When Omi came came over to feed us in the evening, we were quite sad. Meooow :(. Mom and Dad were still not back. Meeow :(. They've been gone for so long. Meeeeeeooooowwww! We were not even in the mood to play. Instead, we cuddled up to Omi and daddy's flannel plants. We also enjoy sleeping on the big fur. It feels so good! I also love kneading the big fur now, not just the small one.

When Omi cleaned our cat toilet, I had to take the opportunity to take care of very important business. Hanzō had the same glorious idea though and very soon kicked me out of the box because he said I didn't clean up after myself properly. After cleaning the toilet, he also wanted to lick me clean, but I didn't let him. Omi finally showed us Hatiti and Jamaica on the map. It's not that far from here. I attempted to bridge the distance once on the map, but, unfortunately, I slid off the map.

We're signing off now because it is time for a nap! The sun only has to rise three more times before your're back! YAY!

Kisses from both of us,
Your son, Hattori

Mom! Mom! Dad! Dad!

Can we make a wish for Christmas? Yeah? We would love to have a garden! We just discovered how much fun it is to play with soil. The only thing we don't quite understand is why Omi doesn't think it's funny!

Kisses from both of your furry sons!

December 21:

Dear Parents!

Omi promised that we'd have to write for the very last time today because you're FINALLY coming home tomorrow! We're soooooooo excited already!!

We helped Omi clean the apartment today and we really hope we can keep it clean until tomorrow! We don't have a lot to report today, except that we are desperate for you to cuddle with us! We miss you sooooo much!

Have a safe flight!

The two of us :)

You've Got Mail...

Dear readers!

We must, again, apologize for not keeping you updated, but our parents were on vacation before Christmas and have been stressed out ever since they returned. While they were gone, we spent our computer-time sending our parents emails instead of blogging. I hope you understand :).

Here is a translation of the emails we sent our parents (thanks for all your help, Omi, our two-legged granny):

December 12:

Dear Mom and Dad!

We understand that you need to take a break and we are not upset about you being on vacation. Omi is taking very good care of us. She enjoys playing with us, and, what's even more important, she knows where you've hidden our food!

Even I (Hanzō) have stopped protesting and my eye inflammation is completely gone now. Omi didn't even recognize which eye was sick today. I was so hyped up and active that she didn't even get a chance to put eyedrops in my eye this morning. I am so proud that I was much faster than her and was able to escape. Moreover, I defended myself with all four legs when she tried to catch me. I don't need those stupid eyedrops any more. I am usually quite busy playing with my brother and I don't like being disturbed. Omi said that she had to administer another dose of eyedrops in the afternoon. Ok, I will think about it. I hope you will be well rested when you come home so you can bear us rioting non stop again after Christmas.

Omi has promised to clean the fur Hattori threw up on a few weeks ago. We can't wait. She'll spend the whole afternoon with us today. We'll see...

Many kisses!
Your sons,
Hattori and Hanzō

December 13:

Dear Mom and Dad!

Hattori and I have decided to divide up the work of sending you emails. Today, it is my turn. Tomorrow, it will be Hattori's.

Omi came over at noon. That was fun. Hattori and I helped her clean the fur. Omi put the fur in the bathtub and filled it with a bit of water. We wanted to watch very closely, of course. As you know, Hattori is a go-getter, who is much less scared than me. He kept standing on the fur, until his paws were already quite wet. I preferred to play safe and remained on the side of the bathtub. When it got too wet, Hattori lost interest in the fur and started chasing me, which was so much fun. In the end, we were so exhausted that not even the vacuum cleaner could distub our peaceful nap on the couch. Later, Omi went home to cook dinner. We arranged for her to come feed us at 6pm. Hopefully, she'll play with us again after dinner!

Kisses! Hattori sends his regards!
Hanzō

December 14:

Dear Mom and Dad!

Yesterday, I thought you were coming home. There was a loud noise in front of our front door. I started meowing "hello," but the door didn't open. In desperation, I also meowed a little bit in front of your bedroom door (Omi says it sounded quite pitiful)... without success. Hanzō then reminded me that you'd be gone a bit longer and that it was my turn to send you an email. Omi picked us up in front of your bedroom door and explained to us the we need to sleep nine more times until you return home.

Don't worry, though, I forgot my grief quite quickly when I started playing with Hanzō. The food was also good. In the morning, Omi spent a little bit more time with us, but we didn't want to cuddle with her because we were in play-mode. We didn't play with any of our toys, just with each other. It was sooooo much fun. I mohawked up and Hanzō slapped me. We even tried to fight with Omi's grey tights.

Now, Omi is off to buy us some yogurt at the farmers' market. The sun is shining and the carpet Hattori threw up on a while ago is drying on a stool. But where is our fur?

Lastly, I have to complain about one little thing: Hanzō got two treats, while I only got one. Oh well, to be honest, I only wanted one. Hanzō is currently craving vitamin B in the form of yeast tablets, it seems, and I don't really know why.

Hanzō says "hi." Kisses!
Your son Hattori

December 15:

Dear Mom and Dad!

It's me again. I am extremely proud that I was able to hide behind the speakers and then ambush Hattori when he was walking by. Omi says I am very smart and can climb very fast. When Omi is playing whith us, I am always the first one at the top of our cat tree, but when Hattori is playing with the feathers, I prefer to watch. He is too rumbunctous for my taste and is really good at jumping really high. Omi says everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

When Omi came over at 8am (on a Sunday!), we ran out into the hallway, as usual. This time, however, she was able to lure us back into the apartment without having to catch us. You see, dear parents, we can also behave sometimes!!!!!

We're doing great. Omi is being really nice to us and is trying to be a good tremporary replacement for you. She is just not able to find the flannel pants we love so much. At least our fur is finally dry. We've told Omi to place it right next to our cat tree. However, when she comes over again in the evening, it might already be somewhere else. We'll see what mischief we can get up to.

We got treats today and almost forgot about our food. Don't worry, we'll eat it a little bit later. Omi left the food out, just in case we were still hungry. She was here for almost and hour and told us that she was then off to visit our great-granny in Wördern.

We hope you have a great cruise. Bring us some presents!

Kisses from both of us!
Hanzō

December 16:

Mom, Dad!

Are you already on the plane? Hanzō and I just fell asleep in Omi's lap. We both purred. I turned around at least 5 times so she could pet me from all sides. Only Hanzō was in my way sometimes. What I really don't understand is that it is still light outstide where you are. Here, it is already completely dark.

We can't wait to hear all about your trip!
Kisses from both of us!
Hattori

December 16:

Mom, Dad!

How can we join the cat union? We have to complain. Omi locked us in the living room, even though it would be been so much more fun in the other part of the apartment. A woman came over and cleaned the bathroom and toilet and, instead of petting us, Omi vaccum-cleaned the bedroom. Finally, she came in and gave us a treat. She also explained to us that you'll be able to spend more time with us when you get back, as you won't have to clean the apartment again before Christmas. Ok, we forgive her. It didn't take long before we managed to escape. We had to examine if the woman did a good job in the bathroom. It is really, really clean. Hopefully, Omi will let us spend a little bit of time in there and won't be afraid of us making everything dirty again. We'll behave! We promise! We only left our paw-prints on the cooktop in the kitchen. You can see everything on there... unfair! It really isn't cat-proof!

I (Hattori) have to confess one little mishap: when Omi was playing with me with my favorite feather toy, I accidentally landed in the water bow. My paws and the area around the bowl were completely wet and I was puzzled. Omi laughed at me...

Enjoy your cruise...

We've already gotten used to Omi taking care of us... except from today: she mustn't lock us up. Protest!!

Hanzō and Hattori

Stay tuned for (approximately) the other half of our emails!!
Thanks for reading,

Mohawking

Dear two-legged friends,

Hanzō is (voluntarily) cleaning the litter box for me at the moment, so I will tell you a little bit more about my weekend. I'd been hoping for a second date with the neighbor's cat for almost all of last week until it finally seemed to become reality on Sunday. We'd met once before when Hanzō and I managed to escape from the apartment, as our mommy was coming home from work. The neighbor was just about to leave her apartment when I spotted her girl cat graciously hiding behind her owner's legs. I was in love, perhaps because I had never seen a cat that wasn't grey (oh, excuse me, blue) before. While my shy little brother was sniffing on the door mat, I quickly, and in a very determined fashion, tried to get closer to her, smell her and perhaps exchange a few meows with her.

However, I sadly never made it there. After taking her coat off and putting her bags on the floor, mommy grabbed me and picked me up. At first I didn't fully realize what was happening to me because I was blinded by love. I had already been dreaming about getting closer and staring into the cat's eyes when I realized the neighbor was petting me. Nooooo. Then mommy said "come on, let's go home" and I found myself sitting in front of the door, staring at the door handle and meowing pitifully. Mommy had no mercy, and told me: "oh come on, Hattori, you are barely four months old." After this traumatic experience, I was so glad to get a second chance.

On Sunday, when our four legged granny and great-granny were leaving after an afternoon at the St. Charles' Christmas Market and a few minutes at the apartment to admire how cute we are, I saw my chance, as I'd heard the neighbor unlock her door. Now or never, I told myself, and entered the neighbor's apartment as fast as I could. Already thinking about the lovely girl cat, I almost got a heart attack when I was confronted with a boy cat much bigger than me blocking my way. He was parked next to the door and I got so scared I mohawked up. His facial expression only said: "what are you doing here little bastard?" Standing sideways with all my hair standing on end, I hissed: "I am here to see the girl." His facial expression didn't change, and I didn't move. Suddenly, I was picked up by the neighbor, who tried to hand me over to daddy. I was so upset that I scratched both of them and sprinted back to safety. In the apartment, I saw my brother Hanzō, and, just in case it was the other mean boy cat in disguise, I mohawked up again in order to hide that I was, at that moment, scared of the whole world. A bit later, I was fed, and calmed down. But what's the morale of the story? I'm done with girl cats for now :)

Thanks for reading!
Love,
Hattori

What a Week...

Dear readers,

this is Hattori. I am writing this post because I had a bit of a rough week. Daddy returned from his business trip on Friday, so I am not completely frustrated any more, but I am hoping that he won't be gone for this long any time soon. In any case, I am slowly recovering from last week's events, and am thankful for avery minute of cuddling with my parents. Mommy even gets up at night when I start meowing pitifully in front of the bedroom door, and checks on me. I must say that I occasionally take advantage of it and meow her out of bed just to make her pet me. It is adorable that she is always worried about me now. But let me start explaining from the beginning.

On Monday last week, I was feeling terrible. I had this weird feeling in my stomach, and didn't know what was happening to my little body. Probably I was upset about daddy being gone, but now I know that I also should not have tried to lick everything in the apartment and eaten too much wheat grass. Let's say it was probably a combination of unfortunate events. I barely managed to drag myself to my parents' bedroom door and meow pitifully a few times in order to attract mommy's attention before my body started jerking backwards and forwards, like a fast version of an earthworm moving forward, and part of what I had eaten came back up my mouth.

When I thought the nightmare was over, it happened once again. I was so scared as it had not happened to me before. I was very distressed and was shaking. I tried to hide in a bathroom corner, but after a while, I decided it was better to cuddle with mommy, especially since she stayed home from work because she was so worried about me. I slowly started feeling better. In the afternoon, my brother and I tried to annoy mommy very much because even though she said she needed to get some work done, we kept occupying the computer. We can't help it, it is so nice and warm. Also, we are way more important than work anyway, and we are very cute when we are both curled up on her computer on top of each other.

Later in the week, my curiosity caused me to take a bath with mommy. I was sitting on the side of the bathtub and was so fascinated by the movement of the waves, resulting from me repeatedly touching the surface of the water with my cute furry paw, that I lost my balance and fell in the water. Mommy tried to dry me off with a towel, but I am already a big boy, so I wanted to clean myself. The water tasted terrible, like oranges, ginger and salt. Mommy says she used nice bath salts from Salt Lake City, but if it was up to me, I would bathe in fish or meat-infused water. Mmmmhhh.

On Friday, just when mommy said she was going out to pick daddy up from the airport, I had to throw up again. This time, I chose the living room carpet as my puking target, not the wooden floor. It is just softer to sit on when you heave to go through this terrible ordeal. At least this time, I already knew what was happening to me. But it still wasn't pleasant because my parents force-fed me flax seeds soaked in warm water in order to "repair" my tiny little stomach. This time, I also had diarrhea, but my dear little brother, who is obsessed with cleaning, helped me hide the mess in the cat toilet. Sometimes, he would scrape around for three minutes or even longer until the corpus delicti was well hidden and he was satisfied.

Now, I am feeling better, but I am always hungry. I could eat the whole day, especially fish, which we were allowed to try for the first time yesterday. We only got a few bites, but it was so delicious that we tried to climb up daddy's pants when he was cooking. Life is good now that he's back because we like to see our parents together and happy. I have also discovered my passion for curling up and taking a nap on mommy's head if she's fallen asleep on the couch... again!, but I will talk about this in another post!

"Talk" to you soon, friends!
Your party pooper, Hattori :)

On the Cuteness of "Antenna Hair"

This post was written more than a week ago, but Marlies forgot to post it. Sorry.

This past weekend, our forever family came to visit us again and funnily they found the hair on the tips of our ears, which they call "antenna hair," incredibly cute and irresistible. In our humble opinion, we are very adorable in general, but we do appreciate their attention to detail.

We certainly very much enjoyed sleeping on their laps and Hattori even rewarded Marlies with a little bit of purring for her ruffling efforts. We think we will get along quite well with them, that is if they cuddle enough with us, of course.

We are already moving to Austria a little bit earlier that expected, on October 26, which coincidentally is the Austrian national holiday. We are hoping to be picked up with the Mayfair Lady, our forever parents' little MINI, but since it only very recently arrived from Canada, licensing and certification might take a bit longer than expected. But then again, the car probably only has seat heating in the front and four-legged children sadly have to sit in the back. This happens when the FPP doesn't get a chance to sit in parliament: laws disadvantageous to four-legged friends are made. Not cool! We will make up for it by sleeping on our forever daddy Herbert's warm computer all the time. Hahahahaha :).

Please enjoy a few cute pictures taken when they were visiting and next time, we'll already post from our new home!

Until then...
Love

Aren't we incredibly cute?

Hey guys!
We've had a very exhausting week "at work" (playing, eating, sleeping,...), so we'll just post proof of how cute we are tonight!
Enjoy!

Obese Cats Anonymous

Today, we’re happy to feature an exclusive interview with the chair-cat of the Lower Austrian branch of Obese Cats Anonymous (OCA), Mr. Baghira Hennessy Angelo Lincoln Petrowitsch, MPc (Master of Professional Cuddling).

Hattori & Hanzo: Mr. Petrowitsch, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. We hope that this commitment doesn’t affect your sleep schedule negatively. Tell us a little bit about your engagement with the OCA.

Baghira P.: I’m glad to be here. Obesity really isn’t fun for both cats and their two-legged housemates. I used to be obese myself, weighing almost 9kg not too long ago. I was very lethargic and slept most of the day. It was a viscous circle; I ate and felt exhausted so I ate more, which made me feel even more awful.

H & H: What prompted you to start a weight-loss program?

B. P.: I have to really thank my two-legged housemate Stephanie’s granddaughter Marlies because she said the situation had to change. I had just dislocated my shoulder by jumping down from the couch and felt quite miserable. Stephanie always thought my fat belly looked cute and said that her friend Renate’s cat was even fatter than me, so she really downplayed my problem. Anyway, I really needed help. My diet changed completely and at first I didn’t like it at all. Marlies tried to explain everything in detail, but of course I didn’t want to listen. I just wanted unhealthy food, and a lot of it too. My new food was made from 100% real meat instead of carbohydrates and meat-by-products, but my body was craving the additives and artificial flavors.

H & H: You are right, we are still very little, but we already know that cats need food that mimics a mouse. Mice don’t contain a significant amount of carbohydrates, so our stomachs are not built to process them. But of course “regular” cat food doesn’t actually contain a lot of meat because it would be too expensive. Blame capitalism!

B.P.: Exactly, so because my “regular” cat food mainly contained ingredients I couldn’t process, I felt exhausted and had no energy. It only took a few days after switching to 100% real meat cat food until I felt more active and was able to work out for a few minutes. As I started losing more and more weight, I began to enjoy playing and running around in the garden. I’ve already lost more than 2kg.

H & H: Wow, what a success story, especially considering your age, 14 years.

B.P.: Thank you. But I couldn’t have done it without all the support I received. Stephanie always told Marlies: “oh come on, he doesn’t want to play any more, he’s too old.” The truth is that I haven’t felt this good in a very long time.

H & H: Confidential sources slipped us information that you are afraid of toy mice. Do you want to comment on these allegations?

B.P.: I also got an upset stomach from eating expired bugs once, so what?

H & H: Haha, you are hilarious. Thank you for being so honest with us. Our readers will appreciate it. Is it true that you have a very unusual hobby, puking hairballs on Persian carpets?

B.P.: Well, I don’t know if you can call it a hobby. Stephanie has the whole living room covered with those old dusty carpets. I thought if I repeatedly threw up on them, she’d replace them with shiny new Russian flying massage carpets. Haha, basically I just do it to test if she still likes me.

H & H: You watch too much TV, Mr. Petrowitsch. But us cats are very cute indeed, so it is hard not to love us. Let us get back to our topic of obesity though. Do you have weak moments?

B.P.: Yes, those certainly exist and you have to accept that they happen from time to time. Sometimes when I am really hungry, I pretend I am starving very badly when the first two-legged cat gets out of bed in the morning. I do the same with all the other ones. When I’m lucky, I get up to three pouches of food before they figure out my strategy.

H & H: Very sneaky. But you deserve it. All the best for the future and your continued weight-loss.

B.P.: Thank you, it was a pleasure.

Purr-fect Weekend

Meow, meow! It’s Hattori. As mentioned in our last post, we met our forever family last weekend. It was very exciting for us and we got along very well with them, even though we were a little cautious at first. You never know. Our forever-mommy is called Marlies and she’s a human rights advisor-intern with the UNODC and a PhD student in Development Studies, but to be frank, I only care about how much time she has to play and cuddle with us. We are a bit skeptical because it has come to our attention that she used to be a vegetarian and can’t prepare meat without being grossed out, but hopefully our forever-daddy won’t let us starve.

Apparently, I am a lot like my future mommy because I am very active, adventurous and vocal. I play until I fall over and sleep like a baby until I’ve gathered enough strength to play again. Daddy’s told me that mommy usually keeps going until she just falls asleep in front of the TV.

I am ashamed to report that I couldn’t resist my curiosity to try a bit of my future daddy’s black tea when they were visiting. My little stomach couldn’t handle all the caffeine and I got diarrhea... cute little kitten diarrhea. Ok, maybe I wasn’t cute for a very short period of time because I had poop all over my fur. My four-legged mommy tired to clean me up, but sadly we weren’t able to hide the corpus delicti because when she tried to clean the cat toilet, she got poop all over her face that our breeder-mommy Lucie had to remove with a cotton ball.  Oh well, we are still very little and learning. Also, my dear brother enjoys peeing against the wall, especially before Lucie moved the litter box underneath the office desk, and farts occasionally. Daddy says it’s ok, quoting an Austrian saying: “Wer fü pforzt, der braucht koan Orzt” (He who farts, doesn’t need a doctor). The two of them will certainly get a long very well! Hanzō?

Howdy, friends! This is Hanzō. I do get along great with my forever-daddy Herbert. He is quiet, like me, and values his alone-time. Marlies says most computer programmers are like this. Herbert is just finishing his PhD and will start his job as a video game programmer very soon. I am looking forward to sleeping on his warm computer and helping him write lines of code by just randomly pressing keys on the keyboard. Maybe he can also program a cat-play video game in order to keep Hattori busy. I do enjoy playing cat-fight with him, but he is just too active. He climbs on almost everything, books, bookshelves, chairs, and so on.

I found it very funny when my brother had diarrhea because it helped our forever family tell us apart. We are twins after all, so I understand it must be difficult for them. Whenever they weren’t sure who was who, they checked our cute buttocks. You could hear them talking in two-legged cat language: “ah, it’s yours, it’s the one with the poopy butt." Haha.

Marlies knitted a blanket we can sleep on for us and we really like it. Sadly, my hyped-up brother always tries to fight with it. Hopefully, it will still be “alive” when our forever family comes to visit us next time. Talking about our cozy blanket makes me yawn and think about a cute cat nap. Mmmhh, napping, purring while napping, purring and dreaming about cuddling with cat-mommy ... I can’t keep my eyelids open any longer... aahhh, good boy, Hattori is joining me... falling over... ccchhhhhhh... chhhhrhhhchhrr...

Sweet dreams, little angels!

Welcome

Hi there! We just turned six weeks and are finally old enough to have our own blog! In case we haven't met in purr-son yet, let us introduce ourselves. We are two very cute and adventurous Russian Blue cats, named after the famous Japanese samurai (and Kill Bill character) Hattori Hanzō. We were born to our beautiful cat-mommy Fiona Borusja of Blue Majesty in Marlen, Germany, on July 30, 2013. Our cat-daddy, Rudolf Ewjatar, lives in Poland, but we don't think mommy misses him too much because she is so busy taking care of us, cleaning us, and teaching us how to behave properly.

Last week, our forever family came to visit us and we found out we're moving to Vienna, Austria, in a few months. The word is that they have good sausages and alcohol there, but unfortunately only for two-legged cats. For now, we prefer mommy's milk and black tea (Hattori can tell you more about that later), but we've also recently started being introduced to our BARF (biologically appropriate raw food) diet. Probably it's almost as delicious as sausages with beer, and maybe even a bit healthier.

That's it for now, two-legged friends. We're planning on individually posting about our adventures soon. Stay tuned to find out about the similarities between Hattori and our forever-mommy and Hanzō and our forever-daddy.

Meow, until next time!
